BIRT Plugins and Target Platform [message #677487]

Here is our problem/issue:

- We had a created a target platform which contains plugins. These are used by multiple projects.
- We cannot add/modify plugins into the target platform
- We have multiple plugins which we had developed/build which are dependent on the plugins in the target platform as well as BIRT plugins.
- We would like to reference BIRT plugins in our plugins

We are not able to reference BIRT plugins into the dependencies section because BIRT is not part of the Target Platform.

Can anybody help us in our situation?

We would like to reference some plugins inthe target platform and some plugins (BIRT) which are outside target platform.

Vivek,

This is a problem if you want to reference a plugin that is not going to
be there at runtime. In the 3.7 version of birt all the plugins are
available as jars that you can add to the classpath. I am not sure this
will help in your case though.
