Getting an Eclipse project into SVN [message #677302]

I've used SVN to check out snapshots, but I've never managed my own repo before. The tutorials I've found for using Subversive seem to be written for team members who will be checking out projects from repos managed by their team leader or sysadmin. I feel stuck with a chicken and egg problem between SVN and Eclipse.

My idea is to use command-line svn to commit my Eclipse project to the repo, then start a new, empty project in Eclipse and check out what I just committed. Is that the best way?

It took some poking around, but I figured it out. Right click the project in the package explorer, and choose Team > Share Project.
