How to set up Eclipse for PHP [message #659270] Fri, 11 March 2011 13:05 Go to next message

Hi. I need to set up Eclipse to do PHP development on our development server. Is it possible to have Eclipse connected to an FTP server in real-time so I can edit files from my PC on the remote box?

What tools should I download to my copy of Eclipse to do PHP development? Thanks. Very Happy

Not sure what you want to do, but FTP is for copying files. You cannot open a file with FTP, you can copy the file to your local filesystem and open it from there.

For accessing remote files, you need some kind of remote file system. This changes if you use Windows, Mac or Linux.

For PH developing you have to download the PDT. Check eclipse.org site.
