Project import loses some files [message #653683] |

When I try to import an existing project into my workspace from an archive file, some of the files in the archive are not imported. No error message or exceptions are produced for the missing files.
It appears to be a combination of two factors:
First, the archive was not created with the Eclipse export function, but rather is a zip file created from the file system by selecting the project folder in the workspace folder.
Second, there are some non-standard (unicode) characters in the file names of the missing files.
To circumvent, I can unzip the archive to my hard drive and then import the project, and everything comes in fine.
First question - is this a problem that anyone else has seen before?
Second question - should there be some some sort of error/exception/notification that a file in the archive was not imported?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Can you raise a bug with the archive file to investigate?
