[Papyrus] isComposite is true per default? [message #644114] Thu, 09 December 2010 10:20 Go to next message

Hello,

I encountered following inconsistency with UML spec 2.3 in Papyrus:

When I add a property to a class or interface (in general Classifier) the property isComposite is set to "true" and aggregation to "composite" per default. If one consults the UML infrastructure 2.3 one can read that isComposite's default value is false. And I also wonder why a simple attribute of a class should be a part of a composition.

Does anyone has an explanation of that behaviour?

Thanks in advance and best regards
Tom

Hi Tom,

you should ask questions to papyrus in the 'eclipse.papyrus' group...
If your 'composite' is a navigable association then the creation of a
class attribute (property) as one of the ends is common behaviour for
uml2, also in the UML2Tools.

Ralf
