Fetching values of list at runtime [message #636589] Tue, 02 November 2010 01:53 Go to next message

Hi,
I am new to BIRT. I had to perform the context based drop down list boxes. Context menu list based I mean are the values of one list box is dependent on the value of some other paramter. Like Country and State.
Would you please how I can achieve this.
As of now I have given country and state as report parameter. The input that is selected in the country input is attached to the qyery of the state report parameter. But the problem now is I am unable to fetch the values of the state at runtime when teh the value of the country changes.

Would you please help me how I an get this?

Thanks in advance,
Neo.

Have you looked at BIRT cascaded parameters?
http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/examples/reports/birt2.1 /cascade/index.php
