Extend Infrastructure.uml [message #628124] Tue, 15 December 2009 18:19 Go to next message

Hi,

My goal is to use some metaclasses defined in Infrastructure in my metamodel. But I still can not do this.
The attached figure shows a fragment of Infrastructure. In my own a metamodel element that needs to extend the metaclass Element typed, how can I do that?
Is there any tool that can handle the infrastrucuture.uml or something?

Guys, help me.

It should be possible to create a metamodel which merges packages from Infrastructure. In fact, a couple of the "official" UML compliance points do this. Note that the classes in Infrastructure are not meant to be extended directly, but rather to be merged (using package merge).

Hi Kenn,

well, just for the sake of clarity, if one wants to extend the classes
in Abstraction package, they had to be extendeable, since they are all
abstrac?! Or am i mixing some things right now?
