Disjoint Generalization [message #628107] Sat, 05 December 2009 12:52 Go to next message

Hello all,

I`m trying to build a class diagram using UML2 Tools in eclipse and add a disjoint generalization to one of the classes:
If class A and B inherit from class C in a disjoint way, we can`t create class D which will inherit from both A and B.

Is there a formal way to say that without using OCL?

Thanks in advance,

Vlad

Vlad,

This can be done using a generalization set, although I'm not sure whether UML2 Tools supports them. Best to ask on their newsgroup/forum.
