Hi,
I must have done something very wrong but I'm unable to understand exactly
what.
I'm pretty sure I had VE working and able to edit jface components (they
were in the palette).
Now (after some time I worked with plain swing) I no longer have jface
components in the palette and the new->Visual Class wizard does *not* list
any jface components (only swing, AWT and SWT).
I also tried to completely reinstall eclipse (downloaded
SDK-3.2.1M20060921-0945, Help->Software Updates->Find and Install->Search
for new fetures to install->Callisto Discovery site->[check VE]->[select
required]), but the result is the same, even if I create a new project,
add to it the SWT Library with the "add support for JFace" checked.
What am I doing wrong?
I'm a relative newbie to eclipse, and I'm completely stumped.
For the record:
I started looking into this because I tried to produce an RCP and, after
using the wizards I tried to edit one View (table view, if that matters)
with VE, but I got an error message stating I should "Create a container",
but the "Create container" context menu is available only if the
createPartView() method is empty, so I cleared it, "Create container" ...
and got back again the original error. AAAAUUUGGGHHH!
Thanks for Your patience and I sincerely hope someone can help me; I'm
about ready to declare myself beaten.
Best regards and TiA
Mauro
