Hi,

I've been trying to get the XSD sources running, which I downloaded from
the eclipse CVS repository (dev.eclipse.org://cvsroot/modeling/).

I have the following prjects in my workspace:

org.eclipse.xsd
org.eclipse.xsd.edit
org.eclipse.xsd.editor

My goal is to get the XSD plugin running without the XSD plugin itself,
just by
using the original plugin-projects from the CVS.
Additionally to the three projects above I needed to download the newest
versions of org.eclipse.emf.common & .ecore to get the XSD-Projects
error-free.
I got these also from the CVS repository.

The problem is the following:
I run the .editor project as eclipse application. The new eclpise starts,
and i create a new project, and after that i create a new "XSD Model"
with the creation wizard (new/Example EMF Model Creation Wizard/XSD Model).
So far so good. So now a new *.xsd file is in my new project.
The actual problem now is, that i cannot open this file with any kind of
editor except a text-editor. what i expected was at least a EMF tree
editor.
What I'm REALLY looking for is the original XSD editor with GUI.

Since in the CVS is no "org.eclipse.xsd.diagram" project I guess there are
two
possibilities:
1. XSD is "just" EMF based, not GMF
2. the sources for the graphical diagramm editor are not public

If #1 is the case, I ask myself, where is the source code for the
graphical
evironment of XSD ? Is there something I am missing ?

any help or comment is appreciated,

Tim
