I am creating RCP on eclipse 3.5 with JDK 1.5. I am trying to replace the
default splash screen that comes with "Hello World" example. I see that my
splash screen appears only if the bmp file is a "256 color bitmap". If I
use the windows default option on paint, the resultant splash image never
appears. Why is this restriction? Is there any link on the web that
explains these limitations?
