Using mylyn time tracking feature [message #587793] Fri, 15 February 2008 10:23

Hi all,

I am not sure whether there is a couple of bugs to discuss this issue. So please redirect me in that
case.

The current feature to track the time on the current task is nice, but not very handy. Normally, I
have an extra time tracking tool running which tracks the elapsed time (ie the time since I clicked
on the specific project). In addition, I can correct or move times from one project to the other one.

Currently, I try to update my time tracker with the data from Mylyn, but I have to remember the last
value before refresh to compute the delta manually.

I would rather do the complete time tracking for this specific task inside Mylyn. But to accomplish
this, I need some features:

1. Both active and elapsed time tracking.
2. It should be possibly to correct both times.
3. I would like to have a day-by-day break-down of the spent time.

In addition, a visual indication like the horizontal green line in the Task view would be nice,
maybe two different colors for "Active" and "Elapsed"

Did there anything happen or is planned to be happen in this area?

Many thanks, Jörg
