it's me with yet another question ;-)

I want to customize the repository settings dialog in my connector in
such a way that i uses a 'user key' for authentication instead of a
username/password combination. As far as I can see there is only
createAdditionalControls() available for extension but no 'proper' way
to achieve what I want. Can you give me any advice on how to do this best?
