Y-axis format [message #559628] Fri, 17 September 2010 09:02 Go to next message

Hi,

I can't format y-axis properly (bar chart with with one series of data only).

Whatever I do the result is always in scientific format (e.g. 300E1 for 3.000). It is interesting that it works correctly for different chart in the same report.

Dataset is based on query (postgres), datatype of the column is NUMERIC.

I am using BIRT Report Designer 2.6, Birt Report Viewer (together with jboss)

Any idea what can cause such behavior?

Tomas

What is your y-axis type set to?
Linear or logarithmic (third tab on wizard-click on Axis)? Can you post
the report?

It is set to linear.

Snapshot of the report can be found here: http://www.collectionspro.eu/axis.JPG

The report itself (I have deleted some other charts and I also renamed the remaining charts) is here: http://www.collectionspro.eu/report_yaxis.rptdesign

Maybe I should also add there I am using shared data library (.rptlibrary)

I was thinking that some custom format might help, however I haven't found any custom format description so far.

Please let me know if you need more information, I really like BIRT, however such reports cannot be used in live environment.

EDIT: fyi... I get the same results using tomcat

Hello, I get exactly the same issue, did you find a way to fix it? or do you have any workaround?

Thanks,

Jérôme
