open "Report design" perspective when open a ".rptDesign" file [message #556425]

Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to open "Report design" perspective when I double click on a "rptdesign" file!

I would like the same behavoiur that does for example when creating a "new Report" with thre creation wizard!

You can click on window->open perspective->Report Design.
If you have already opened it once you should be able to switch back to
it using the report perspective icon in the right corner as well.

Thank you,
but that's not exacly what I meant,
I would like the platform to automatically switch to the perspective when I open a particular extension file, somehow the same that happens with wizard..

Understood. Right now I do not think any of the file types do this in
Eclipse. There is a Perspectives preference page under the general
properties, but switching is only available for new projects. Can you
log a bug against Eclipse, to add this option?
