[EWL] Use data from different models/files [message #555696]

I'm using EWL to implement some transformations.
However, to perform a transformation, I need to have access to data that is on a different model/file.
Is this possible? If so, how can I do this?

Hi,

Loading another model at runtime is not supported out-of-the-box but I
guess you could implement a Java class that does this and then call it
from EWL as demonstrated here:
http://eclipse.org/gmt/epsilon/doc/articles/call-java-from-e psilon/

Thanks for your help.
Right now, I'll put everything on the same model. Later I may try your suggestion.

By the way, does ETL allow me to do this, or would I have to use a Java class too?

Actually, all languages in Epsilon (including EWL) support access to an
arbitrary number of models. However, for EWL there's no out-of-the-box
UI to allow you to load additional models. In ETL you can do this using
the launch configuration dialog ("Models" tab).
