Are you asking about mappings, or helpers, or both? For mappings, you
can control this by using in/out/inout, I think.

Hello Al,
oh wait, configuration properties don't have values... But
non-configuration ones do! Anyway, just omit the "configuration" keyword
and you have 'normal' properties.
