Hi,
I'm running windows XP. I have tried for a long time to get anything based on GMF,GMP or graphiti to compile. I installed graphiti then downloaded the demo's from cvs. Nothing seems to work.
What is the easiest way to install graphiti and compile anything? I just want to see the demo applications run.

Right, there isn't much adavanced documentation or examples for Graphiti
besides the tutorial (at least this should give you a basic understanding of
how to work with Graphiti). Any contributions of examples is highly
welcome...
We are also planning to invest some time in creating more examples and
provide them to the community after releasing the first version of Graphiti.

For a while there I thought I had gone retarded or something. It's working now, I think. Now I can actually get down to programming something. I think everything is configured properly to move forward.

I design computer chips for a living. I use graphical tools for this such as :
http://www.altera.com/products/software/products/dsp/dsp-bui lder.html
http://www.xilinx.com/tools/sysgen.htm
I've programmed java on and off for the past 12 years and used Eclipse quite a bit.
From what I can tell, there isn't much in the form of examples and tutorials. I would like to write an open source application for graphical chip design. I would like to contribute this program as an example and help write some documentation on how to get started.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to do anything in Graphiti. Could the members of the community please contribute links to resources which would help me get started? Maybe members could contribute advice on what other projects to research? I can help get these resources included in the help documents or tutorials or whatever.
