I hope, Tom especially could help you towards a peaceful and hopefully
symbiotic relationship with E4 rather than fierce competition ?;-)

Absolutely. I do not see Sapphire and e4 competing. They each offer the developer a different level of abstraction and as such are appropriate for different scenarios.
