Create Mindmap wizard won't finish in osx (DSL Toolkit book) [message #525213] |

Hi all,
I'm working my way through Richard's DSL Toolkit book.
I've genreated my model, and then generated the editor from it. I've then
run the target application (as instructed on Page 44). I've created a
blank General project, and have requested a new Mindmap Model using the
EMF Model Creation Wizard. I've selected Map as the Model Object, but the
Finish button is still disabled. The page of the wizard is showing a
valid Model Object and XML encoding, but only Back and Cancel are enabled.
Note, this problem doesn't arise running the toolkit under Windows XP.
Regards,
Ian

Ian,
From a thread in the EMF newsgroup, it sounds like there is some Mac
issue with the default selection in the drop down. I gather that if you
choose a different choice and then the choice you want, the finish
button will enable.

Aah, almost. I had been trying the switch topic element from the
selection box, but with no success.
But, manually editing the selection (by adding and then deleting a few
characters to the end of the choice) enables the Finish button.
Thanks for the clue Ed,
Ian
