Hi,

I'm wondering why the XPand (right one this time.. Very Happy) builder isn't asynchronous / background? It seems a bit slower now or maybe that's just because it's more noticeable.

thanks,

Miles

What do you mean by not asynchronous? Does it block the UI-thread?
That's not something we did intentionally, so please file a bugzilla and
provide some additional information, about what you noticed and what you
expect.

Thanks,
Sven

Hi Sven,

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I mean that the build precess is executed in the foreground -- the standard progress dialog is presented and editing, other work and newer builds can't continue until the build is done. This happens every time a change is made to an xpand or xtend file. Is this expected behavior?

Miles

No, of course not.

No, of course not.

I wasn't sure exactly when this was happening and when it wasn't but in reproducing it the case is more constrained. See bug 308262.
