Hi,
is there a way to list/search all IUs and their versions in a metadata repository? I tried
the "Metadata Repositories" view in the p2 SDK, but this seems to show only features. I
have started to use provisioned target platforms a lot lately and I need to add bundles
(like org.apache.commons.lang) quite often (by editing the .target file manually). I'm a
bit fed up with combing through content.xml files manually. Is there is a convenient way
to browse all IUs as of now to make this a bit easier till bug 291227 (Provide a search
tool which searches p2 repos and adds matching IUs to your target) is fixed?
Greetings,
Ralf

Well speak of the devil... I just pushed some changes into PDE today
that allows this workflow...
291227: [target][p2] Provide a search tool which searches p2 repos and
adds matching IUs to your target
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=291227
I would appreciate some testing... the tool is still kinda fresh and I'm
sure it has some kinks to work out. However, the idea of just hitting a
shortcut (in this case, M1+M2+M3+A) and getting a dialog to quickly
search IUs and add it to the target.
Cheers,
~ Chris
