Equinox secure store password not retrieved on IDE crash [message #504150] Thu, 17 December 2009 03:15 Go to next message

Hi,
I have created a username/password entry in equniox secure storage. If the IDE is crashed due to some reason, the password is not retrieved on restarting the IDE, Is this already a known issue?
Thanks in advance.

regards,
MIK

Was the secure storage saved before the crash? Left to its own devices,
secure storage saves modifications on Eclipse shutdown. The save can also be
triggered from the preferences page (General -> Security -> Secure Storage |
Contents -> Save) or programmatically using ISecurePreferences#flush().

If the secure storage was saved before the crash and you don't see the entry
on restart, please open a bug with the description of the problem (is the
entry not there at all? or is there a error in decoding the entry?) and how
it got into that state.

Sincerely,
Oleg Besedin
