.project file can not recognize "../.." for linked resources? [message #502862] Wed, 09 December 2009 22:20 Go to next message

When I create a general project which contains source code outside project folder but underneath the same workspace, the source code folder represents linked resources under project. I committed the workspace into code manage system, but when I checked out workspace on another PC with different directory location, it can not find source code, of course I am able to specify MICRO for relative path of source code, but it is not convenient. I would like to specify relative location to project as "../../source_code" between <location> in .project file. however, it seems it not recognize "..". Does eclipse not support it? Why not?

Thanks!

FYI I am using Version: 3.5.0

I think that Dynamic Path Variables introduced in 3.6 M5 may help.
