It's never been clear to me the best practices for deploying an Eclipse based application on a Vista or Windows 7 machine, where the Program Files directory is write-protected. If one's application is installed to that directory, using p2 touchpoint actions like addRepository seem to have trouble, since the configuration and/or p2 directories can't be written to.
One possible workaround is to specify the -configuration location, although I don't know if that helps with the p2 directory.
Those who've had experience deploying in such a scenario... any guidelines?
