Workbench window topmost while debugging? [message #482274] Tue, 25 August 2009 23:56

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this but please re-direct me if
not.

When I fire up the Workbench under the debugger (i.e. Debugging a
plugin/perspective in the workbench itself), sometimes the window (Eclipse)
that comes up is the topmost window and cannot be hidden. The only way to
avoid it is to click on the actual debugger window to give it focus before
the whole Eclipse window is displayed. This happens sometimes, somewhat
erratically. Sometimes restarting Eclipse will get rid of this behaviour,
sometimes not. Also, I have seen this only on Windows. Not on the Mac.
Don't know about Linux. Probably Windows specific.

Is anyone else seeing this? Is this a known bug? Any workarounds (other
than restarting the debugger or Eclipse)?

TIA,
Ric
