Where to get the GMF configuration files of UMLTools? [message #476364] |

I'm going to develop a TTCN-3 GFT Editor, GFT inherits from MSC, it is
similar with Sequence Diagram but using different notations. I think I
can get some ideas from UMLTools SD source code.
I downloaded the source code from Eclipse CVS and basically it runs
good, but I didn't find the GMF configuration files such as GMF Graph,
GMF Mapping an Xpand templates.
Thanks for your help!

Hello David,
At the end of M6 cycle GMF tooling component have introduced a big pack of
changes into the GMF metamodels and templates, including the changes of nsURIs
for GMFGen/GMFMap's.
Right now we don't have completed migration yet, so we have to use GMF M5
as a generation base. Migration process can be tracked as scr#271595.
Please note that all of our generated code (the whole U2T runtime feature)
uses and works fine under GMF runtime M6 (so at the build level, U2T is GMF
M6 compatible), the M5 requirement is valid only for codegen part (which
is not executed as a part of a builds).
So, until #271595 is fixed, we are using a mix of GMF runtime M6 + GMF tooling/codegen
M5 as a develpment platform.
This can be achieved by installing the whole M6 binaries to the target platform
and using GMF tooling sources checked out by M5 date.
Hope it helps,
Regards,
Michael

Hello David,
GMF sources of UML2 Tools diagrams are located in org.eclipse.uml2.diagram.def
plugin.
You can find more details about generating UML2 Tools diagrams here - http://wiki.eclipse.org/MDT-UML2Tools_How_To_Regenerage_Diag rams
Best wishes,
Tanya.
