using JSF 1.2 [message #473803] |

To use Java5, one has to use Dynamic Web Project V2.4 and JSF 1.2
project facets, instead of Dynamic Web Project V2.3 and JSF 1.1, is that
right?
However JSF 1.2 requires JSP 2.1, right? and JSP 2.1 seems not supported
by JBoss since only Tomcat 6 Beta supports JSP2.1 (and JBoss delivers 5.x).
So whats the solution to use Java5?
THANKS

Sorry, I believed that Dynamic Web Project V2.4 was bound to only JSF
1.2 project facet, but actually I can choose the JSF version from a
dropdown list in the table. This solved my problem now. Thx

You have the dependency chain reversed. You must have Java5 to use JSF
1.2. However, you can (and with some containers like Tomcat 5.5 *must*)
use JSF 1.1 with Java5. From a project facet point of view, there should
be nothing to stop you here. If you have a use case where the system
prohibits you from doing this, please launch a bug.
