I am creating an application that will incorporate lots of audio and video
clips. Ultimately I want to run on both Windows and Macs but I am
currently developing and running on Windows.

I need to play lots of short audio speech files and also video clips. The
program will orchestrate the clips in the running of the application. I am
looking for the best way to incorporate the audio and video. For the
audio, there seems to be some stuff under Applet but I am not sure if this
is compatible with an application. For the video I am looking at JMF but I
am not sure if I should just get the Windows version or the cross platform
version to start.
(java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/download.html) I do not know
if these jmf versions represent different code interfaces or just build
differences. Do I get both versions, or just the cross platform version.
What are the issues... what is the best approach to incorporating sound
and videos into a swt application?
