Shouldn't the configuration be part of a external file ... instead of
(probably) part of the ".eclipse" configuration file

Hi Thomas,
Can you provide the name of the plug-in your removed? Also, what
configuration are you referring to in the last sentence of your post? As a
sidebar, whenever plug-ins are modified, you should start Eclipse with
the -clean flag to force the run time to reload plug-in manifests.
