HI, just getting started with EMF I wonder if there are any tool
recommendations for modeling. The standard editor is not very
productive, and the graphical editor (tried it with 3.4M4) doesnt work
on my windows box. I played around with XText, but I think theres
tooling already there but I cant see it. :)

Thomas,

The Ecore Tools in the EMFT project works quite well for me. I think
you have to be careful not to install both the sample Ecore editor from
the GMF download and the newer Ecore Editor from the EMFT project. I
encourage you to use the EMFT newsgroup to resolve any installation
issues you have with the graphical editor.

I still have trouble with the graphical editors on win32 there seems to
be a gmf bug as its the same with the older editor from the gmf examples.

Thomas,

I think you've opened a bugzilla for it right? It's funny that I'm not
seeing such a bug, but I haven't tried in the last few weeks. Are the
nodes showing up as pale yellow?

The Omondo EMF editor has been developed by Yves Yang and Thomas Guiu in
2003-2005. It was so buggy and unusable that we have decided to stop the
project in the fall 2005.

Are-you talking about this EMF Editor ?
The editor was full of bugs, permanently crashing and could not be used
for any professional project.
