I have just started a build using ant Eugenia in the CI and have hit

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=429848

which says that essentially, Eugenia cannot be used for CI because it requires a workbench to be running. As a consequence, the whole elegant model generation process that Epsilon offers is stoppered back to people clicking around in their IDE. The old bug-bear of model-driven processes.

I wondered if there is any known hack in the ant suite that allows to start a minimal workbench.

I am running in xvfb-run so I can tolerate calls that ask for X buffers or library loads, but I would really like to retain the ant runner application interface.
