Senior Java Developer / Eclipse RCP Expert
Java developer / Eclipse RCP expert. Successful software house developing the market leading application for automated testing of multi-protocol APIs for the financial industry is seeking a highly skilled Java / Eclipse RCP developer with excellent UI experience. You will be taking a leading role in the design and development of the UI for our flagship product as well as influencing many other areas of the product, including working on APIs, protocols, and message connectivity.
This is an opportunity to work at the leading edge of multi-protocol messaging technology within an small elite development team . There is also scope to learn and work on our application servers based on Spring Boot and React.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong core Java experience.
- Solid understanding of OO concepts, knowledge of design patterns, and ability to write clean code.
- Confidence with the Eclipse RCP 3 & 4 and JFace/SWT APIs, and the Eclipse Modelling Framework (EMF).
- Extensive experience with multi-threaded development.
- Experience with dependency and build management tools (Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins) and code reviews.
- Excellent communicator (written and spoken English)
Bonus Skills:
- Network programming in Java (Netty, MINA).
- Experience with financial messaging protocols (e.g. FIX).
- Experience with messaging middleware (e.g. ActiveMQ, Tibco, Solace, etc.).
- Experience with the Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Security, Hibernate, REST.

Salary $50k - $80k depending on experience and location.
Role is remote but we have offices in the US, EU, and Japan (currently sponsorship not available).
