EPF Composer Development Guide

Development Environment Setup for EPF Composer 1.5.1.1

  1. Download and install JRE 1.5.

  2. On a Windows or Linux x86 platform,

  3. Extract the Eclipse archive.

  4. Extract the EMF, GEF, GMF, the EMFT(s) and UML2 archives over the Eclipse folder - these archives include an 'eclipse' folder in their path structure.

  5. Start Eclipse.

  6. Consider creating a dedicated workspace for EPF Composer development.

  7. Check out code (EPF_1.5.1.1 branch) from /cvsroot/technology/org.eclipse.epf/composer/1.5/

  8. To build and export for multiple platforms, an RCP Delta pack belonging to the same Eclipse SDK version can be used.

Development Environment Setup for EPF Composer 1.5

The build environment for EPF Composer 1.5 has been changed to be based on Eclipse 3.3.2 branch. Please note the new build environment below:

  1. Download and install JRE 1.5.

  2. On a Windows or Linux x86 platform,

  3. Extract the Eclipse archive.

  4. Extract the EMF, GEF, GMF, the EMFT(s) and UML2 archives over the Eclipse folder - these archives include an 'eclipse' folder in their path structure.

  5. Start Eclipse.

  6. Consider creating a dedicated workspace for EPF Composer development.

  7. Check out code from /cvsroot/technology/org.eclipse.epf/composer/1.5/
