Release 0.3.0
Last revised June 10 2009
The TmL project currently provides support to integrate device and emulators into the Eclipse IDE, to visualize remote displays in an Eclipse view using the VNC (or RFB) protocol, to implement client-server protocols using extension and to display information from the Linux /proc filesystem in Eclipse views.
The TmL project is currently divided into four main components: the Device Framework, the VNC Viewer, the Protocol Framework and the /proc tools. The Device Framework supports integration of devices and emulators into Eclipse. The VNC Viewer provides visualization of remote displays in an SWT component or in an Eclipse view using the VNC (or RFB) protocol. The Protocol Framework supports definition of client-server protocols using extensions. The /proc tools use a communication layer to gather information from the /proc filesystem on a remote system and display it in Eclipse views.
This is release 0.3 of the TmL project, which is joining the Galileo release train. This release contains the Device Framework, the VNC Viewer component, the Protocol Framework and the /proc tools.
TmL 0.3.0 has API changes: protocol, wizard and device types had changes in the API.
