Mission Statement
The goal of the Mobile Tools for JavaTM (MTJ) project is to extend existing Eclipse frameworks to support mobile device Java application development.
Scope
The scope of the Mobile Tools for the Java Platform (MTJ) project is to extend the Eclipse platform to enable developers to develop, debug, and deploy mobile Java applications to emulators and real devices. The project will develop frameworks that can be extended by tool vendors and tools that can be used by third-party developers.
Restart
MTJ Version 0.7 was retired on March 2007. The project was restarted with version 0.9.0 using EclipseME version 1.7.8 as the new development base code and incorporating features from MTJ at the time. Please, refer to the API Plan for more information.
