    Nominations for the Eclipse Foundation's 2011 Board of Directors are in. Learn more about the candidates on the election pages. Voting will take place from February 22 to March 11.

    Join the Eclipse Hot New Products Showcase

    All companies, open source projects and individuals that have introduced a new Eclipse-based product in the last 12 months are welcomed to participate in the Hot New Products Showcase at EclipseCon on March 23. Reception attendees will watch demos of new products from participating organizations and vote for their favourite. The winning organization will receive a prize and designation as the winner of the first ever Eclipse Hot New Products Showcase. This is your chance to showcase your new product.

    Have Your Say in the Eclipse Community Awards

    Eclipse Awards
    Voting for the 3 Individual and 2 Project categories of the 2011 Eclipse Community Awards is open until February 25 at 5:00 pm EST. Help us thank the individuals and projects who have made Eclipse a stronger community this past year.

    The winners will be announced at in a ceremony at EclipseCon in March.

    Participate in the Eclipse Training Series

    The Eclipse Foundation is holding a series of training classes on Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), Equinox & OSGi and Modeling from April 25-May 27. Member companies interested in providing training are invited to participate. Email training@eclipse.org for details.

    Indigo Release - Important Dates

    Indigo, this year's Eclipse release, will release at the end of June. To prepare, participating projects need to enter their contribution questionnaires for third party packages they are including in the release by February 11. IP logs are due May 18.

    Recent Project Proposals

    Runtime Analysis Tools (RAT)
    The RAT project will provide tools for performance analysis and finding CPU/Allocation and other bottlenecks in Java applications.
    Skalli will leverage search technologies and social network mechanisms to make a new generation project management tool.
    The WindowBuilder project will provide an Eclipse extensible framework for creating GUI design tools for any language or UI framework.
