Select All enabled in Variables View when no items are in the view? [message #328720] Mon, 02 June 2008 15:03 Go to next message

Open any workspace without any active launches. Open the Variables View
and right-click in the view. The "Select All" menu item appears active
although there are no variables in the view.

Is this a minor issue or is it intended behavior for some reason? I
searched through the Eclipse bugs and didn't see any bug describing this
behavior.

This was noticed with Eclipse v3.3.1.1

Please let me know if there is an existing Ecipse newsgorup that this
question is better suited for.

Hey Joe,

This newsgroup is fine.

If you have done a search (Google, bugzilla etc.) and the behavior seems
inconsistent to you, as it does for me (though pretty minor), I would log a
bug report and attach a patch to disable the action when the view is empty.

Thanks for the response. I was just looking for a bit of feedback before I
entered this as a bug.
