Everyone,

I am new to eclipse and am trying to put it on a Fedora Core 3 system. I
would like to use it as I learn how to program in JAVA. I have it (3.01)
installed, but have no references to JAVA when I use it. According to the
literature I should be able to have an entry for JAVA when I try to create
a new Project, but JAVA is not listed. CVS and Simple are listed but not
JAVA.

I downloaded and installed:
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_01-b08)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_01-b08, mixed mode, sharing)

It seems to be running, but I am only begining to have experience with it
so I would not be surprised if I have made mistakes.

Sure would appreciate some help.

Thanks,

Greg Ennis

Greg,

It would appear that you downloaded a version of Eclipse that does not
include the Java support.

You need to download the full Eclipse SDK (about 90 MB)
