Hi guys!

Is there a way to have the sdef file generated upon start of the editor; e.g. using some kind of template mechanism?

We'd like to have some outline-menu entries generated based on information that are not present in the edited xml-file.

No, there is no facility for specifying an initial template for sdef files. You'd have to build your own file wizard to do that, which isn't very difficult. You can find the source for the sdef file wizard in the sapphire.sdk plugin, clone and modify to suit.
