Does plugin tracing as described on page 179 of the "Contributing to
Eclipse..." book work for anybody else?

We have several developers working on equally as many plugins, all using
'un-guarded' trace statements, and now that we are integrating, it's
nearly impossible to locate the trace statements I'm interested in.

Everything works *except* dynamically enabling/disabling trace as
described in Figure 21.3. This doesn't seem to have any impact, and
always reverts to the default (i.e. hard-coded) values.

If I don't hear from anyone I'm going to open a bug.

FWIW, I'm running 3.0M6.
