New project proposal: Flight [message #1240071] Wed, 05 February 2014 11:38 Go to next message

This project aims at designing and implementing a new architecture and infrastructure for integrating development tools across desktop, browser, and servers. The goal is to provide an extremely flexible platform and infrastructure that allows new cloud-based tooling components to be built highly decoupled from each other and that bridges the gap to existing desktop IDEs at the same time.

The project idea looks great, the video from Martin was promising... please add me to the list of interested parties.

Thanks,
Markus

Thanks, John.
I would have offered to act as a mentor, but Maximilian was faster on the bug.

Regards, Markus

Hi John,

I am also very interested in this project.
It actually looks similar to the stuff we tried with orion and Xtext
last year. Is there any public forum or newsgroup for flight already?
I'd like to join discussions and see whether we can help with coding as
well.

Could you add 'itemis' as an interest party?

Thanks,
Sven

Hey Sven,

great to hear that you are interested. And help with coding would be much appreciated, of course!
I added itemis as an interested party to the proposal.

We don't have a forum or a newsgroup yet, but I think this will be created soon. I will post an update here.

Cheers,
-Martin

The proposal got renamed to "Flux" (for trademark reasons). Flight is now Flux.
