according:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/plat form-core-home/documents/content_types.html two content types provided by independently developed plug-ins intendedfor the same file selection specification - this may happen for popularfile types that are not provided by the platform. In this case, one of thecontent types will be ellected arbitrarily. User intervention is required. If there are two Editor both for "SVG", and one is good at text editor, others is good at visual design, and User want use both, then how editordecide to choose which content type? and what is "contentTypeBinding" in"org.eclipse.ui.editors" External Editors used for? because even you set"contentTypeBinding", when the editor opened, it still use another contenttype... Some plugins are very dependent on the content type, for examples - WTP,if the content type is wrong, then every things is not works anymore.Eric
