Adding extension point templates? [message #289463] Fri, 05 August 2005 07:31

Hi all,

I have my own eclipse plug-in, which defines various extension points
which can be used by other plug-ins.

I would really like to be able to supply templates and wizards so that
when people try and use the extension points they can have a nice "hand
holding" wizard, or some sample code created automatically.

I would like this to appear in the templates section when you click
"Add.." in the plugin.xml extensions editor, or in the list of templates
if you switch to the "Extension wizards" tab in the same wizard.

I think that the method for doing this is to use the
org.eclipse.pde.ui.templates extension point but I cannot find very much
documentation on how to do this, and so far my experiments at adding one
have failed.

Any advice or points would be much appreciated.
