3.1M7 Tabs in floating windows [message #285625] Fri, 20 May 2005 12:06 Go to next message

I have two monitors right now. Eclipse is full screened on one of them. I
dragged my package explorer over to the other monitor, which puts it into a
floating window with one tab. Any attempts to drag something else (like my
synchronize tab) onto that same floating window as another tab seem to fail.
This worked fine in 3.0. Is this feature gone, or am I doing it wrong? Or
is it a bug?

I figured it out. I have to put the extra tabs into that window before I
undock it and make it a floating window. You could do this in 3.0 too, but
at least you had the option of dragging tabs to floating windows as well.

Report it as a bug. See what happens. It may just be an oversight.

Support for detached views appears to be much better in 3.1rc2.
