How do you run the GEF Examples? [message #277844] Fri, 17 December 2004 11:46 Go to next message

Hi,

I've downloaded Eclipse, and got "Hello World" working. Great.

Now I've downloaded the GEF examples, and, as instructed,
unzipped them into my "main Eclipse" directory. I presume that this
means
the subdirectory called "eclipse" of the top-level eclipse directory
(ie. eclipse-SDK-3.0.1-win32/eclipse/)
All seems to have gone fine.

But when I do Ctrl-N, the wizard does not have an "Examples" Folder
as indicated in the instructions. I've tried a few other things, but
don't
want to mess up the installation.

All I want to do is run the examples....

Can someone help?

Thanks.

The instructions say:

Download and unzip the latest 3.1 GEF Examples from the GEF Project
Downloads into your main Eclipse directory. To create a new diagram, launch
the wizard by pressing Ctrl-N. Expand the Examples folder and select Shapes
Diagram.

You'll probably get a quicker answer from the GEF newsgroup,
eclipse.tools.gef
