Problems running Eclipse on amd64 / Redhat [message #273456] Wed, 06 October 2004 11:48 Go to next message

My machine is running RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 WS, and I've tried
various combinations of Eclipse (3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1M2) and JDK (1.4.2,
1.5.0), but they all seem to crash the VM the same way (in libjvm.so)
after loading a bunch of classes.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?
Is there something special that I need to do to get Eclipse to work?

Hi Edwin,

You can open a bug report against Platform / SWT and paste the stack trace.
We've seen issues that apparently are related to VMs on this platform. Not
sure if that's your case.
In the future, you can ask AMD64 questions onto the SWT newsgroup.
