Do you use the Bluecurve theme? If so, try switching to a different theme.
(Check the README file.)

Also, it would be helpful if you checked Bugzilla to see if someone has
reported the same problem. (Do a query on the comment field for the native
method in which Eclipse segfaulted.) If the bug isn't there already, then
could you report a new bug? Please mentioned which version of GTK+ you are
using, as well as which window manager and theme.
