getMarker() deprecated [message #259996] Tue, 30 October 2007 18:49
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I'm using Eclipse 3.3.1 and the BIRT Chart Engine SDK 2.2.1. The compiler
says that getMarker() is deprecated, and after doing a bit of research I
found some documentation that it is indeed deprecated:

http://www.birt-exchange.com/documentation/BIRT_220/ChartJav adoc/chart/api/deprecated-list.html

The documentation says to "Use Markers property instead.", but I cannot
figure out how to do that or the reason why the getMarker() function is
actually deprecated. Many code examples on the BIRT site are using
setMarkers().

So, why is that function deprecated, is there a better way to set the
markers on a plot, and how shall I do that using the Markers property?

Thanks much in advance...

~Tim
