using landmarks in Mylyr [message #257272] Tue, 27 May 2008 19:29 Go to next message

Hello,
When I click ALT+CRTL+SHIFT+ UP a little flag indicating that the method
has been added to the context (landmark flag). When I put the cursor
before the method declaration and hit ALT+CRTL+SHIFT+ DOWN I can see it
removed from the package view but the flag is still there. What does
this flag really mean? And how can I remove it from the method?

Mansour,

Asking on the mylyn newsgroup might be better. I've added it to the
"to" list of the reply so that your question will appear there.

Mansour,

You've got meaning correct, what you're seeing is a problem with the
refresh of that marker. This bug has been addressed Mylyn 3.0 (to be
released on June 25th along with Ganymede). We no longer use the gutter
annotations for landmarks because they seemed to cause more confusion
than they provided value. Instead you can just rely on the bolding of
landmarks in the navigator views or in the Quick Context View if your
editor is maximized. For the time being you can close and reopen the
editor.
